WRHA Mental Health Crisis Response Centre

The Mental Health Crisis Response Centre in Winnipeg is a walk-in point of access for adults experiencing a mental health crisis, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week within an atmosphere that promotes healing and recovery. This Centre of Excellence in crisis resolution ensures expert short term clinical treatment and support services are available through walk-in services, mobile services and scheduled appointment services, combined with planned linkage and referral to appropriate services and supports.
WRHA Mobile Crisis Service
The Mobile Crisis Service assists individuals experiencing a mental health or psychosocial crisis, including persons with a co-occurring mental health/substance use disorder. Calls or referrals are welcome from anyone who is concerned about a person experiencing a mental health or psychosocial crisis, including self-referrals and referrals from family members. A mental health professional will take your call and work with you to decide on an appropriate course of action, based on the best interests of the individual who is in crisis.
PPDAM is a volunteer organization, made up of both professionals and mothers with lived experience, who are committed to helping Manitoba families get connected with the help they need now. The mission is to empower Manitoba families dealing with postpartum depression or related illnesses through education, awareness and resources.
Women’s Health Clinic Mental Health Services
The Women’s Health Clinic counsellors work from a feminist-based counselling model. Our non-judgmental approach recognizes that women’s feelings and problems are not signs of weakness or sickness, but understandable coping responses for dealing with complicated lives.

Friendship… acceptance… snacks… neighbourhood-based adult education for expectant and new families with babies up to one year…other practical supports. It adds up to an enthusiastic, collaborative support to families of all sorts and sizes and cultures and challenges and strengths. Weeks alternate between support for pregnant women and new moms.
Families Connecting Healthy Baby Program

Gwen Sector Resource Centre – 1588 Main Street
A Healthy Baby Community Support Program to connect pregnant people and parents of children under age 1 with health professionals and other parents to share information, support and resources. Topics include prenatal and postnatal nutrition and health, breastfeeding, parenting tips, and lifestyle choices. Bus tokens, milk coupons (for pregnant women and up to 6 months postnatal), healthy snacks, and childcare for children under 12.
